About JoJo Wiki

Who We Are

JoJo Wiki is operated by Myers Media, an independent digital publishing company founded by Jordan Myers. We chronicle Hirohiko Arakis ongoing masterpiece - a series that has spanned over thirty-five years, nine distinct narrative parts, multiple generations of the Joestar bloodline, and an artistic evolution unprecedented in manga history. From the muscular, Fist-of-the-North-Star-inspired early art of Phantom Blood to the fashion-magazine elegance of JoJolion and The JoJoLands, Arakis visual language has transformed continuously, and so has our coverage.

Our wiki covers all nine parts of JoJos Bizarre Adventure in exhaustive detail: Phantom Blood (Part 1), Battle Tendency (Part 2), Stardust Crusaders (Part 3), Diamond is Unbreakable (Part 4), Golden Wind (Part 5), Stone Ocean (Part 6), Steel Ball Run (Part 7), JoJolion (Part 8), and The JoJoLands (Part 9). We document every Stand - from the tarot-inspired early abilities like Magicians Red and Hierophant Green to the increasingly abstract and rules-based Stands of later parts like D4C, Wonder of U, and Soft and Wet. Each Stand page includes its user, its statistical parameters (Destructive Power, Speed, Range, Durability, Precision, Developmental Potential), its ability mechanics, and its narrative role.

Beyond Stands, we cover Arakis creative influences: the Italian fashion brands that inspire character names, the Western music references that name Stands, the horror films that shape plot structures, and the real-world locations from Egypt to Morioh to Naples to Florida that serve as story settings. We also catalog Arakis deliberate use of non-naturalistic color schemes and how these evolve across parts.

Our Mission

Our mission serves three interconnected goals: First, to build the most complete English-language resource for the Stand system across all nine parts - documenting each ability precise rules, limitations, and creative applications, while tracking how Arakis approach to Stand design evolved from straightforward power-based abilities in Part 3 to the intricate logic-puzzle powers of Parts 7 through 9. Second, to provide literary and artistic analysis that goes beyond plot summary - exploring Arakis thematic preoccupations with fate, family legacy, masculinity in its many forms, and the nature of justice. Third, to serve as a bridge between the original Japanese publication and the international fanbase, providing translation notes on character names, Stand name changes for copyright reasons, and cultural context that enriches reader understanding.

Our editorial approach respects the complexity of JoJos timeline. We clearly distinguish between the original universe (Parts 1-6) and the alternate universe of the Steel Ball Run continuity (Parts 7-9), while documenting the thematic parallels between them - the way Johnny Joestar parallels Jonathan Joestar, the way Funny Valentine mirrors Dio Brando, the way Part 8s Locacaca organization calls back to Part 5s Passione. Every part is treated as its own complete work while also understood as a piece of a larger multigenerational narrative. We do not rank parts or pit them against each other.
